First night in Crested Butte, Colorado and we started right up with some Wines Under the Radar- From the Cellar Selections. Why wait when some beautiful marinated steak tips are being seared up.
The 1990 Magnum of La Torre Brunello di Montalcino was ready to drink. Mint, licorice, dark cherry on the aromatics and soft and gracious on the palate.
The 1993 Grand Cru Banyuls ‘Christian Reynal’ from La Cave de l’Abbe Rous went perfectly with the chocolate devoured for dessert. Spices and sweet cherry nose along with a hint of raisin. Port-like black cherry flavors completed the evening.
