Alfredo Maestro Albillo ‘Lovamor’ 2017, Castilla y León, Spain

Knock knock……….Who’s there……………Orange……………Orange Who…………….Orange Wine Naturally!

The Alfredo Maestro Albillo ‘Lovamor’ 2017 is 100% Albillo from 100+ year old vines and is delicious. The wine was fermented with indigenous yeasts and 7 days of skin contact (this gives the wine a darker color, like they make red wine). This ‘orange wine’ will make you a fan of the style. Go for another Wines Under the Radar!

The Alfredo Maestro Albillo ‘Lovamor’ 2017 is an attractive medium to dark hazy yellow in color. The aromatics have a lot going on; Crème brûlée, a bit of apricot, linseed oil, brazil nuts, and an appealing baked fruit note. A good and inviting nose. The rich flavors are  medium to full bodied and show citrus, apple, apricot, and some spice notes toward the finish. Just a ball of flavor. The finish has nice firm acidity to tie this all together. A very, very nice Wines Winder the Radar at around $25. Not for the meek but for the adventurous.
