Argillae Orvieto Superiore, Umbria, Italy 2019

Looking for something to pair with my seared  red snapper to be served over a bed of Asian slaw and I decided on a wine I rarely purchase…..Orvieto. Made from a blend of Grechetto, Procanico, Malvasia, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Each single variety is vinified separately. The result here is a wonderful Wine Under the Radar at around $15!!

Beautiful aromas of yellow flowers, citrus (orange) and other tropical fruits along with complex and broad flavors including citrus and apple, with mineral notes and good acidity level. Great persistence on the palate with a refreshing finish. This paired beautifully with my dinner and would work well with any simple grilled or baked fish. Delicious stuff!!
