Another beautiful evening at our abode. A simple dinner of seared jumboshrimp with lots of ginger, some soy and garlic. Finished with blistered shishito peppers, olive oil, and lemon juice. All placed on top of freshly picked lettuce and snap peas from the garden. Yummo!
The Gunderloch Riesling ‘Jean Baptiste’ Riesling Kabinett 2017 was onspot. Offering aromatics of lemon and orange with a slight note of almond. Lovely fruit character on the palate mimicks the aromas. The wine’s refreshing sweetness is framed with nice acidity creating the perfect pairing. I wish more people would try top quality Riesling. It can be found for a song. This beauty was $16.
