An earthy little dinner tonight with crisped wild mushrooms from @smilingearthmushrooms and white Russian kale from @abesacresfarm all on top of pureed cannelloni beans. The wine selected was just right.
A blend of Cinsault, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah all from the southern Rhone (Jean Royer is know for his Chateauneuf du Pape’s). Dark purple in color and bursting with bright, ripe cherry aromatics. Medium bodied on the palate with more cherry and raspberry and some earthy notes on the finish. Easy drinking and easy on the pocketbook at around $15. Great value!
