Arrived in Crested Butte, CO this afternoon and made a bee-line to the local liquor store to pick up some essentials for a long weekend with good friends, good food, and fine libations. A local suggested I try a Pilsner style brew and I’m glad I took their recommendation.
The Sticky Pils from Soulcraft Brewing in Salida, CO was delightful and thirst quenching. This Pilsner had a slight haze and a muted golden color. The aromatics were those of malt, hops, and citrus with a definitive lemon edge. On the palate the flavors had a touch of malt, cashew, and lemon. It was also smooth, fresh, and not over the top, just nice and smooth with a very nice lingering finish. A Beer Under the Radar out here in Colorful Colorado!
