This past Monday’s weather could only be described as dreary. Cloudy and cold with misty conditions in the morning followed by both drizzle and rain later in the day. Yet there was something that just felt good. After spending the morning wrapping up the fig trees for the winter, I headed indoors for a cup of tea and began to plan for an uplifting dinner on this grey day………
The main course was stuffed acorn squash filled with brown rice, red lentil, hazelnuts, walnuts, craisins, parmesan, and herbs and it was paired with Zero Gravity’s Extra Stout. This brew was black in color, and aromatics of toffee and a slight hint of chocolate. On the palate there was a nice hint of dark fruit, coffee bean, and roasted malt. The latter element hit the spot with the squash entrée. The stout was medium bodied. The finish, while light, was smooth and easy to enjoy. A very lovely Beer Under the Radar!
